Texas Country Reporter - In Live Living Color

As many of you know, one of my favorite shows to watch is Texas Country Reporter (thank you Mr. Thrash); and, as a closet history lover, I love everything about this show. Case-and-point: Texas Country Reporter Festival. An annual event, TCRF is held in Waxahachie Texas. The TCRF features artists, craftsmen and chefs from Texas Country Reporter, games for the kids, autographs, and everything Texas Country. Everything from custom artwork/photographs, to handmade ceramics, food, guns, jewelry, and garden ornamentals is up for grabs.

As usual, my Mother and I cleaned them out; we ended up with an array of merchandise. This year we ended up with: fresh grown tomatoes, homemade dill pickles, beef jerky, hand poured candles, a concrete worm for the garden (too funny, we couldn’t pass), and my newest obsession – pickled green beans. Yes, you read that correctly, pickled green beans. They are delicious, very similar to dill pickles, but in long, skinny crisp green bean format. Thinking about trying my hand at making my own!

I’m back, bitches.

After an almost two year hiatus, I’m back. I’ve have so much to catch you up on, but work is really dominating my life at the moment. Look for plenty in the coming days, weeks and months. I’ll get it up on the blog as fast as I can.
